Concealers & Foundations

Hi everyone!

With all the talk of healthy and safe ingredients in skincare, I'm being asked about "makeup"!! As you know, I will go beyond beyond for you to provide healthy and safe alternatives. One thing at a time for sure. Makeup is a huge field.

We don't have to go looking for healthier skincare than Dr. Baumann. It is the healthiest skincare in the world - no other compares to Dr. Baumann!! What about makeup? Well, Dr. Baumann has healthy makeup. Unfortunately, it's going to be some time before it arrives to Canada! What do we do in the meantime? Thats my job.......I'm on the research path looking for what is best for your healthy skin!

The hunt began with concealers and foundations because my daughter Vicky has a problematic skin, an acneic skin. Vicky has been using Dr. Baumann products since last October and has seen an improvement in her skin but there was still something going on!! So, we began to look at her makeup......OMG, she's got tons and tons of makeup, mostly MAC, a little bit of this and a little bit of that!! So much makeup she can open her own store!!!

I thought, my goodness, what a job before me. Where do I start? I consulted with my colleague in Germany, Stephanie Chandler, International Training Director for Dr. Baumann. We discussed not only the condition of Vicky's skin, her daily regime, what she does and how she does it and what she does next? The skincare regime is in tact. We replaced all handwashes throughout the house with Dr. Baumann hand cleansers (containing healthy and safe ingredients), which immediately eliminated any possible contamination of the hands with questionable ingredients. Ok, so let's look at her makeup!!

We started with the concealers and foundations. We listed all the ingredients and consulted with the International Ingredient Cosmetic Dictionary, the Blue List, which all dermatologists refer to globally. It gave us what we needed to know - that there were so many questionable ingredients with no benefit to the skin. To be sure, these ingredients were absolutely damaging and harmful to the health of the skin, and if its harmful to the skin its harmful to our health!!

We threw out - YES THREW OUT all the big name, brand name concealers and foundations!! What did we replace them with? If one looks hard enough, one will find what their looking for!!

By the way, Vicky's skin is getting healthier and improving as the days and weeks go by!! Her skin has improved tenfold and is working its way to health.
